Its Thursday night which means one thing....it's time to get tanning!!! As a Scottish woman, I am very pale, I like to refer to myself as a milk bottle and I am partial to a bit of fake tan!
Over the years I have been a victim to streaky tan and tanning disasters but with patience and practice, you can achieve a beautiful glowing tan from home.
There are so many tanning products on the market now to choose from and personally I believe it is a much better option to fake it instead of bake. It's all about finding the perfect product for you and feeling confident when applying fake tan and it is possible to achieve glowing skin no matter the budget.
Personally, I would typically use a mousse based fake tan or I will use a gradual cream based tan over the course of a few days for a light glow. However, Over the past few months, I have been on the hunt for new and innovative tanning products to try out!

When applying any tanning products, It is important that we fully prep our skin. Using an exfoliator helps to get rid of any dry skin cells and keep skin clean and fresh for application. This product works well on areas that are particularly dry including knees, feet and elbows. This body scrub is super soft and is infused with Bearberry and Sesame to keep our skin feeling luscious. Apply onto the skin and gently massage into dry or damp skin in a circular motion for beautiful looking skin.

To all you spray tan fans, why not try an airbursh tan at home! I can hands down say that I have had a good few disasters when going to the salon for a spray tan and most of the time I come out looking...well lets say a lot more bronzed than I wanted to! With this self tan, you are in control and are able to achieve a golden glow at home without standing in those glamorous paper knickers in the salon.

This again is a unique product and this would be great for those who suffer from dry skin. I have never used a self tan oil before but I was pleasantly surprised! It is easy to apply and helps to create a smooth streak free tan and absorbs into the skin quickly. After application, I didn't feel like my skin was feeling super oily or greasy and didn't slide of the skin. In the bottle, It does seem to contain a little shimmer however when applied, it isn't noticeable and wont leave you looking like an orange glitter ball. This self tanning oil develops after 4-6 hours and leaves you with a light natural tan.
Supreme Goddess Tan Extender

After application, it is important that we take care of our skin and do our best to prolong our tan. This tan extender works well to help us keep our gorgeous self golden tans for longer. Apply this cream everyday and this helps by adding moisture to the body with ingredients such as Shea Butter and Bearberry and also contains a natural tanning agent to help with the longevity of the tan. Say goodbye to patchy faded tan! Because we want nothing more than getting the most out of the tan we have.

So now we have our tan, what do we apply our tan with?
Again, I have used many different application tools over the years.... tanning gloves, disposable gloves, cheap mitts, expensive mitts and back in the college days, I once used a carrier bag in a desperate panic to get tan on...yes I know its ridiculous, don't judge me! haha
But thankfully, since then, I have discovered Bronzie. This product is incredible and I admit I am obsessed.
