Back to Basics: Summer Skin

Hello Beautiful people!

During this glorious heatwave that us in the UK are having right now!
(I know, what is actually going on...)

I have really had to cut back my skincare routine!
My usual skincare regime just wasn't working well in this scorching heat and was making my skin feel really clogged up. How do all you beauties over in hot countries cope! Please let me know some of your tips, my makeup felt like it was melting off my skin...great look. totally.

It's back to basics people.
Here are three products that I have been crushing on this month.

Liz Earle Cleanse and polish

I feel like everyone in the whole world must own or has tried this once in their life. But, I don't blame you, because it is bloody good!

This has worked an absolute treat recently, especially in the mornings when I'm in need of an uplifting facial cleanse. This is super refreshing on the skin with the help of Eucalyptus oil and rosemary and also helps to tame any redness. If you haven't tried this already, give this cleanser a go! you won't be disappointed.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic

If you haven't guessed it already, I am a bit of a super fan of Liz Earle skincare.

In this heat, I needed a toner that would help bring a bit of life back to my skin....I didn't fancy rocking out the red tomato look any longer.

Luckily, I have loved using this toner over the past few weeks!
I use this day and night and whilst storing it in the fridge.... this honestly works wonders in keeping me cool and also keeping those nasty sweats at bay...no one likes that before bed. I would also recommend the skin tonic spritzer version too if you fancy something throughout the day to give you a quick spritz of hydration.

 Ultrasun SPF Moisturiser

I always like carry an SPF (of at least 30) in my makeup bag all year round.
I came across this one last christmas and I have been hooked since!

I like to apply this under my makeup and this helps fight against both UVA and UVB rays.
(Safety First)

This works well as it is lightweight on the skin and doesn't feel too heavy underneath makeup. Previously, I was so skeptical about wearing an separate SPF under my normal moisturiser but I haven't had any discomfort at all! thumbs up!

I would also recommend this for people who have sensitive skin as it doesn't contain any strong fragrances.

What are your summer skincare go-to's?
