Johnny Loves Rosie: Style Two Belts Two Ways

Hello Everyone!

I am a self confessed accessories hoarder.
I find it pretty difficult to part with anything! However after recently delving into my box of.... lets say 'well loved' accessories, It was time to have a clear out!

One thing that I like to 'collect' is belts. Whether it's to save me the absolute embarrassment of my trousers falling down or just to add a bit of interest to an outfit. As I sat looking through the pile of belts I had in my wardrobe, I soon realised that I really didn't need thirty of them and I whittled it down to a few that I could easily wear with any look in my wardrobe.

'Friends don't let friends leave the house without accessories'

I have put together a few looks featuring two pieces from premium jewellery and accessories brand 'Johnny Loves Rosie'.

This post goes out to all you other hoarders out there to help you get the most out of your accessories!

Office Chic

Metallic pieces are everywhere right now and as we are heading into the Christmas season, there's nothing like a bit of embellishment to get you through the chilly weather!

Obsessed with bling?
well it is possible to wear it day to day! I have teamed up this silver belt with a black A line skirt and top and a cosy faux fur. What I like about this look is that this look is that it can take you straight from the office to sipping cocktails with the girls after work.

Well I guess its 'Happy Hour' somewhere in the world!

Time For A Christmas Party!

Yes before we know it, we will be celebrating everything festive and all those Christmas parties will be just around the corner! So if your off on a works doo or having a night out on the town, its time to sparkle this winter!

This metallic belt looks fab with this little velvet number, and the best thing is this belt is totally flexible and stretchy so no need to loosen it off after Christmas dinner and those yummy desserts!

Bohemian Style

I am a total sucker for the 70's and I practically live in maxi dresses pretty much all year round. I have styled the black Jewel belt with this tile print maxi dress. As you can see, I am not quite prepared to part with the whole cold shoulder trend yet...

I think this belt goes well with this look as its breaks up the print and it nips you in perfectly at the waist! So many trends in one! Who said you couldn't wear it all!

Back to Black

For those days where you want to wear all black....apart from these metallic boots which I'm a little obsessed with right now.  I have styled the Sienna Jewel belt with a pair of wet look leggings, a black chiffon overlay top and of course a black faux fur coat!

By adding this embellished belt, It totally pulls the outfit together and makes it look polished.

What do you think of these styles?

AW16 Trend Week Day 5: Midnight Sparkle

Happy Friday!

We have made it to day 5 of Trend Week and its party time!!

I think this may be the most exciting trend as like every year its time to get our glad rags on and hit the town!!

There's no boundaries when it comes to Midnight Sparkle. Think embellishments, sequins, metallics, glitters the lot! You can never be overdressed when it comes to this trend.

Its time to sparkle and shine!

I myself am a bit fan of the metallic trend this season and my favourite metallic picks from my wardrobe are these new silver metallic sock boots from +boohoo.com. These boots are so on trend and are everywhere right now. The sock boot is having its moment thanks to Kanye West and his 'Yeezy' collection.

But if your like me and don't fancy splashing on the $895 on a pair of yeezy's which I think is ridiculous anyways, then check out these badboys!

These boots are actually more versatile than you may think! I love them as they jazz up any outfit and they add a super rock chic vibe to any look!

For a day time look, Team a metallic boot with a pair of skinny jeans and a band tee or go for a pair of culottes and tee with a bomber jacket!

For a sassy night time look, style these boots with a jumpsuit or mini dress and a leather jacket to give it a punk rock edge!

These boots don't break the bank either, These are from Boohoo and they cost £28 which I think is amazing as there are so many other styles on the market that cost substantially more. I have attached a link to these boots below if you want to have a wee look!

If like me, your a big fan of this trend then I would love if you could get in touch and share your love of metallics!

AW16 Trend Week Day 4: Velvet

Hello Beautiful People!

Velvet is everywhere right now!
If you haven't noticed already, where have you been hiding?

The Velvet trend is extremely popular and is all over this years catwalks, online and on the high street. I love this trend as I am a massive fan in incorporating texture into your wardrobe as I think it gives an element of interest and it also keeps you nice and cosy!

Velvet is great for daytime and also perfect for those Christmas nights out!
For day, A velvet blazer looks great teamed up with a tee and jeans and boots and for night time go dramatic with a velvet jumpsuit or a dress and heels!

There is such a versatile range of velvet pieces to choose from right now and is great for everyone to wear no matter what your style may be!

I have gone for a Christmas party look that everyone can wear! A waterfall jacket is a great piece to add velvet into your wardrobe and it can be worn all year round! This jacket is from Primark and I have had this for years! It was super affordable and I really love this blush pink shade, I also think a black velvet jacket would also look fab with this outfit and would be great to wear for a night out on the town!

AW16 Trend Week Day 3 : Purple Reign

Hello Everyone!

Just because its coming up to winter, It doesn't mean that we wear head to toe black all season!

Its Day 2 of Trend week and Purple is reigning over the high streets this AW16. From brights to burgundy, pastels to print, you really cant resist the power of purple!

Purple is a universal all round shade that suits everyone, But finding the right shade is very important. I personally love a bit of print and here I have styled my favourite purple pieces! Its so easy to inject a bit of colour into your wardrobe by also adding accessories! A purple pair of shades or a nice bag or a statement pair of shoes can transform any outfit!

Style Tip

Be Confident!
Go for the perfect purple to flatter you and don't be afraid to experiment when it comes to bold prints! They aren't really as scary as you may think. Try out different shades in store and be open minded!

Fancy get your hands on some purple power?

Check out the shopping guide below, including my favourite pieces online and on the high street that you can get your hands on now!

AW16 Trend Week Day 2: Heritage

Hello Lovely!

I hope you are all having a great day so far. Its Day 2 of trend week and I'm here with another trend for you all that is set to be stacking the shelves this season. Today its all about...

'HERITAGE'

What's Heritage you say?

Now this may not be a trend for everyone, but It certainly screams winter! Think Kate Middleton chic! From tweeds and checks, dogtooth and tartan, Its time to get cosy this autumn/winter!

So where do we begin?

When looking for the perfect heritage piece, Think statement. A statement bag or scarf, jacket, trousers etc. Heritage pieces don't have to consist of a tweed jackets and jodhpurs....not all the time. So many brands and retailers are now releasing so many fab versatile pieces that anyone wear, whatever the budget!
(as styled below)

This style is totally timeless and it is a good idea to invest in a statement piece as it will never go out of fashion and you can wear this style year in, year out. In the picture below, I have opted for a monochrome jacket but I also love check pieces, with hues of warm reds and oranges, it's so autumnal and perfect for this season. I think this jacket would also look great teamed with a roll neck jumper, a pair of jeans and boots for a chic winter look!

Style Tip

Checks and tartans work well with pretty much any neutral shade. Find the right print for youand don't be afraid to experiment when it comes to clashing prints.

Fancy wearing a wee bit of 'Heritage'?

As always, I have attached a shopping guide to my favourite picks from the high street and online for you to get inspired by...

AW16 Trend Week: Animal Print

Hello Everyone!

This week I am going to be sharing the latest trends hitting our high street this season!

To begin this weeks posts, I thought it would be good to showcase the hottest and most popular trend this AW2016.

Yes you guessed it...or to be honest, you probably just read the title of this post....

It's all about ANIMAL PRINT!

It's everywhere and its time to embrace our inner Scary Spice or Pat Butcher. Whatever floats your boat.... I don't judge!

Animal print has been around forever, but its back with a vengeance and there's no shying away from it. From leopard tees to snuggly winter coats, bags to bold heels, there is something for everyone!

Now if wearing this print, gives you the heebie jeebies... I'm not even sure if that's even a word in the dictionary, but well you know what I mean...if it gives you the creeps then have no fear! Leopard print doesn't have to be in your face or worn head to toe.
(as styled below)

This look is perfect to wear as a casual look during the day or also for a social night with friends. This shirt would also look super cool teamed up with some bright bottoms if your feeling brave!

Styling Tip

Animal print doesn't always have to be leopard print. If it's not up your street then take a look at some other styles such as snake prints, croc prints and zebra prints....the worlds your oyster.

But lets keep it faux people!

Fancy getting in on the trend?

I wouldn't leave you all without a trend shopping guide of course!!!

I have picked a few of my favourite leopard print pieces which are available on the high street to buy right now! And all links and prices are included below.
Because its good to help one another out!

I would love to see how you style your leopard print looks!
