VERSO SKINCARE: FOAMING CLEANSER REVIEW

I have always been a mega cleansing freak.
 It probably started around the age of 15 when I started to fully invest in my skincare routine. My mum has always had great skin and I hope she won't mind me mentioning her age, but at 51, she doesn't have one single wrinkle!
...I just pray that it is genetic and I won't have to worry as much!

 However 
she did drill it into me to start young and to take proper care of my skin. I totally believe that everyone should spend time on their skincare routine and value it completely.  It doesn't have to be half hour long or a 10 step system. Find the right routine for you and stick to it!

I was recently online browsing one evening and came across Verso Skincare. Verso are a Swedish brand that are one of the cult favourites and have a range of luxury retinol skincare products which claim to reverse the signs of ageing. This range is 

"Proven 8 times more effective than standard Retinol products on the market"

Before applying retinol onto the skin, Its always best to kick off your routine with a great cleanser. I was kindly sent out the 'Foaming Cleanser' to review and I now want to give all you lovely lot my verdict.

First of all, can we just talk about this packaging!
 I am totally obsessed. I love the clean cut, minimalistic approach to this line and I think It really stands out! This is definitely one for all you beauty junkies out there!

When trying out the product, I also really liked that it has a pump applicator which is not only hygienic, but it means you only use as much product as you actually need helping your product last longer. I would say one pump is all you typically need for your whole face.

This is branded as a 'foaming' cleanser, however I wouldn't say that it was incredibly foaming at all. I tried first applying the cleanser onto my face and also lathering it up in my hands as instructed then massage it into the skin. I would say that this was more of a cream cleanser.

When water is added, this cleanser transforms into a milk and gently cleanses the face. Personally I prefer to use cream cleansers as I find they hydrate me more and improve the appearance of my skin, But If you are actively seeking a foaming cleanser then you might be a little disappointed in that respect.

One thing I noticed straight away was the scent. It's super fresh and when applied to the face, Its feels so luxurious and smooth on the skin. When water is applied, this cleanser transforms into a milk and then gently cleanses the face and removes any dirt and pollution from the skin.

 I recommend using this cleanser predominately as a second cleanse. This product is not friendly on the eyes and may irritate if it comes in contact. Use an eye makeup remover first or a cleansing water and then apply this. Nonetheless, this is still a great cleanser to use day to day and it doesn't strip the skin or leave it feeling dry.

After almost a month of regular usage, I  have noticed that my skin feels less congested and now looks brighter.

  This cleanser is now one of my favourites!

M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2016 Unboxing: Spoilers!!!

Hello Everyone! 

Beauty Calendars are everywhere this year and It seems that chocolate just isn't enough!
 I managed to get my hands on this years M&S beauty calendar and was so excited to delve into all of these products.  After researching many other beauty calendars on the market,  I would personally say this hits top spot for me! 

 This calendar is reasonably priced at £35.....when you spend at least £35 on womenswear, beauty and homeware. This Calendar contains twenty five beauty products from travel mini's to full size products and in total this calendar is worth over £250.  

So for £35 I would say this is an absolute steal!! 

I would totally recommend this for all of you beauty lovers out there who want to discover niche brands and try out some fabulous beauty products. This would also be a lovely gift for someone this christmas!

Alpha H Liquid Gold 50 ml

Im all for brighter and more radiant skin and liquid gold doesn't disappoint! I apply this all over my face after cleansing and let it do its magic and by the power of gycolic acid, my skin is bright and refreshed!! 

Rituals Rice Milk and Cherry Blossom Body Cream 70ml

This is beautiful! As soon as I opened the bottle, I feel in love! It smells absolutely incredible and is super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling luscious and enlightened. 

Eyeko Skinny Black Liner

This is my holy grail go to eye liner.
 I believe everyone should have one of these in their collection! It has a felt tip nib which works well to create the perfect cat eye and this liner lasts all day long!

Nu Skin Products Review : 20% Off Plus Free Delivery

I am back with another review on some skincare products from the brand Nu Skin. As some of you  know from my first review, I was very sceptical and was very surprised when I really liked enjoyed using some of their products! Nu Skin Face Lift Powder & Activator

£49 for set

This lifting and firming face mask is said to diminish fine lines and wrinkles, leaving your skin feeling 'instantly revived' 

There are many positives to this product, You get a lot of product for your money. The face lift powder contains 75g which should last a long time depending on how many times you use it although I will probably run out of the face lift activator before I use up the powder. I would say this product isn't totally necessary to have in your collection but if you are a big fan of beauty products and don't mind spending money on skincare then give this one a try. I would also recommend this for more mature skin types and for those who are actively seeking anti wrinkle products.

As recommended, I used one teaspoon of the face lift powder and a drop of the activator in a bowl and mixed it together to create a thin paste. I then applied the mask in an upward motion all over my face and neck using my finger tips.

I waited 20 - 30 minutes for the mask to harden, and during that time my face did feel a little itchy and my face felt very tight. Although this was expected as this product contains Acacia which is firming and tightens the skin... So firming, to the point where I couldn't speak without the mask pulling. Because of this, I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn't enjoy intense facial treatments.

After 30 minutes, I removed the mask with warm water and my skin did appear lifted and It was incredibly firm. Not only that, I could still feel the difference the next day!

I did enjoy using this product and I would use it again on those days that my skin is particularly in need of a revamp.

Tip:

If you want to try out this product,  I would always stick to the recommended dose of powder to activator. When trying this out, I decided to add a little more powder in the mixture  to see if the mask performed differently. That I will never do again. The product did harden and the mask didn't feel as itchy, however it was a nightmare to remove. Always stick to the guidelines!

Renu Hair Mask

I do Love a hair mask and I am always on the hunt for the next best thing!

This smells incredible!

Think of the best smelling shampoo you have ever tried and then picture this! This mask is used five to ten minutes before showering and guides you on your way to shiny smooth locks!

 This mask mask is also suitable for all hair types.

With hair masks, I prefer to use them as an overnight treatment or during an evening pamper session; preferably whilst binge watching pretty little liars in the bathtub but any other worthy TV show also acceptable!

I lathered this mask from root to tip and then tied it in a plait to soak over night. Over time, I have become a little obsessed with this product and have used it maybe more than is totally necessary.

It does what it says on the tub. Its conditioning yet not too thick and my hair feels great!

Who doesn't love a good hair day!!

Contouring Lip Gloss

I unfortunately haven't been blessed with luscious lips and as big lips are having there thing right now, I was excited to try out the contouring lip gloss. This is said to help plump your lips, add definition and also make them appear fuller.

Over the years, I have tried so many different lip products which claim to do the same but many that I have tested tingle or leave a lasting burning sensation which can feel very uncomfortable and I pretty much just want to take it off as soon as I apply it!

This product luckily doesn't tingle at all and just feels like a normal lip gloss! my only concern would be the price. I think I would have preferred a tinted version however this gloss is suitable to use over any lipstick.

What I do like about this product is that it can be used multiple times during the day and my lips don't ever feel irritated.

Epoch Polishing Bar

I am not usually one for using cleansing bars as I usually gravitate towards bottled scrubs but I was pleasantly surprised by this product!

This 'Epoch Polishing Bar' is an soap free exfoliating bar which removes any dirt and grime and balances the oil content in our skin. On first impressions, the packaging lets itself down as it is cased in a cardboard box. Personally,  I would have liked if it came in a more sturdy casing so I could store it more hygienically but that's just me being fussy.

The product itself works well. I have enjoyed using this as a gentle scrub for pre tanning and I also enjoy using this day to day for all over exfoliation. I haven't noticed major improvements in my skins texture and condition but perhaps after a longer period of time I may see results.

Epoch Ice Dancer

This cooling gel is great for those who are always on the go!

This gel is formulated with peppermint oil to help soothe exhausted legs after long days.

Recently I have been getting back into a proper fitness routine and this has came in super handy when my legs are feeling tired and bit sore. When applied, this gel feels a little sticky however it does settle nicely into the skin and leaves a smooth silky finish when dried.

I have enjoyed using this especially in the evenings before bed when my body is feeling a little achy and after application, I do feel more relaxed. When I first started using this product, I really noticed the cooling agent in this product however over time it did wear off a little.

I think this product is great to have on hand and I also like that this can be applied over hosiery!

Time For A Christmas Party!

Yes before we know it, we will be celebrating everything festive and all those Christmas parties will be just around the corner! So if your off on a works doo or having a night out on the town, its time to sparkle this winter!

I am a total sucker for the 70's and I practically live in maxi dresses pretty much all year round. I have styled the black Jewel belt with this tile print maxi dress. As you can see, I am not quite prepared to part with the whole cold shoulder trend yet...

I think this belt goes well with this look as its breaks up the print and it nips you in perfectly at the waist! So many trends in one! Who said you couldn't wear it all!

For those days where you want to wear all black....apart from these metallic boots which I'm a little obsessed with right now.  I have styled the Sienna Jewel belt with a pair of wet look leggings, a black chiffon overlay top and of course a black faux fur coat!

By adding this embellished belt, It totally pulls the outfit together and makes it look polished.

There are many oil pulling products on the market but again I enjoy using this product as its totally natural and it wont affect the health of my gums.

This product aids to naturally whiten your teeth without the use of bleach, remove plaque and also help freshen your breath as it contains refreshing peppermint. This acts by swishing the oil around your mouth for five to twenty minutes before brushing your teeth and over time our mouth will become increasingly more healthy and fresh.

When I first started using this product, I found it a little uncomfortable after 10 minutes but after regular use it does become easier.

Sugar Scrub

Okay this scrub smells divine!

Think Mary Berry baking perfection in a tub and that is what this smells of...Absolute heaven!

This product is also great for those who suffer from problematic skin as coconut oil is a natural anti bacterial and helps to reduce acne breakouts and soothe itchy skin. The added ingredient of almond oil is important as it adds and locks in moisture.

what many people don't know if that coconut oil is not only good for us, but it's also great for babies too! Coconut oil can be used as an all over body lotion and it works well to eliminate nappy rash

Since testing  Again, This is very strong in scent, if you aren't a fan of highly fragranced skincare then this may not be product for you.
